Training Our Dogs

Training is something we spend a significant amount of time doing with our dogs - we find it to be a fantastic way to forge bonds with our dogs, provide them with physical and mental stimulation, and build resiliency and confidence. While the end result of some of training efforts is competition or trialing, training doesn’t have to be particularly formal or targeted towards competition. It doesn’t have to be with a trainer or in the context of a class either. While some of the training we do is harder to accomplish at home (agility, for example), much of the foundation skills for the activities we like to engage in can be trained at home.

To learn more about some of the training that we like to do with our dogs, click on one of the squares below. These pages don’t encompass the entirety of our activities, and we may add more pages in the future as we make more progress in other training areas or sports, but the bulk of it is here.

There’s also one for “training” that I like to do as the handler, which mostly involves my interests in learning more about dog behavior, training techniques, etc. - if you happen to be interested in what the human side of Kizuna Eurasiers likes to do level up on the other end of the leash.
