Temperament

Howru is a Hokkaido Ken, and slowly budding sport dog prospect. At some point in the future he may possibly play a role in a Hokkaido Ken preservation breeding program, but at this point in time he is simply a pet dog trying out a lot of sports for fun, and working towards becoming an ambassador for the breed.
Howru is a chill dog at home. He likes keeping to a schedule and will insist on being taken on a walk at his regular daily time. He is generally not very clingy, unlike the Eurasiers, but does like to be in the same room as the humans most of the time. That said, he has no problems giving himself some space to relax and decompress after coming back from an exciting adventure.
Howru really enjoys exploring the outdoors and new places, being the very environmentally focused dog he is. When being asked to settle in new places, he tends to need some support from his humans until he has acclimated to the new location.
Howru loves being able to explore new places and run around, particularly off-leash.
